Understanding the Process
Preparing a room for painting begins with moving furnishings away from the walls of the room. We will need enough room to lay down runner drop cloths to protect the floors. If ceilings get painted then we will need to cover furnishings with light weight plastic.
When there is a high contrast between trim color and wall color it is often nessessary to us frog tape to improve on the lines of demarcation between trim and walls. This will provide a more finished looking paint job. Light trim and walls usually don’t require this.
Any cob webs or dust will be removed. Marks made by ink pens or stains are premed before we apply top coat.
Our painters will inspect walls for nail pops, cracks, and dents and will apply sheetrock mud and sand these spots to attain a level surfac. Then they will prime those spot before painting.
Great! Our prep work is done, now it’s time to apply paint. They roll and bush ceilings and walls, then they check for proper coverage and look for holidays. Once they complete the painting they inspect the room to make sure every issue has been address. The they will have the homeowner inspect the room as well.
